The button down shirt is a must have staple for any wardrobe. Button down shirts can look utilitarian but they can also be very feminine. Many women feel that button down shirts are boring and conservative. I read an article complete with a slideshow written July 16, 2014 by Kristen Bousquet. Http:///stylecaster.com/how-to-wear-button-down-shirts/, that was very interesting.

I have several button down shirts in my closet in white and black and blue.  I have purchased button downs from many stores, but my favorite shirts are  sold at Banana Republic. Banana Republic shirts are no-iron and are made of a beautiful, comfortable material.

The shelf life of a white button down for me is usually about three months.  I try to wash them by hand and they can also be dry cleaned.

So when in doubt as to what to wear with "anything"  try a button down shirt, be it a casual or dressy piece. One day at a time! Karen.

Kris's Closet

In this blog post you will get a glimpse of pieces in my closet, learn where I found them and where I wore them. My name is Kristin. Welcome to my closet!

Friday my sister and I set off toward Cincinnati for a sister bonding weekend trip. We stopped in Loveland, Ohio to see Loveland Castle on the way. There we took a tour and ate our lunch. We stopped at Eden Park to check out a beautiful view of Cincinnati. Then we checked into a Tudor style home for the weekend through airbnb. The day ended with dinner at Pappadeaux's. Chris's/Kris's Closet (A ChristinaKristin Day Out) September 5, 2015

Chris's Look

Labor day weekend, Kristin and I attended a free Reggae festival at the Columbus Commons, the festival was to raise awareness for Amputee Children. The festival was a lot of fun, we engaged with old friends, ate good food (although there was no Jamaican food at the reggae festival, go figure), listened to great music, and visited vendor booths. The highlight of my day was running into a customer wearing ChristinaKristin jewelry, her Global Gal pieces were perfect for this event. This is what I wore.

Kris's Look

That Saturday was a really warm day, so I opted for as little clothes as possible. The look was more about staying cool than style but I dressed it up with accessories. The festival was a really nice event, though the weather was hard to enjoy. I am always happy to hang out with Christina.

Chris's/Kris's Closet (Christina) August 29, 2015

Chris's Closet

I am Christina, the hot pink of ChristinaKristin. Welcome to my closet!

Saturday the 29th, I celebrated my 35th birthday! Yes, 35, I'm still getting used to saying that. I was really unsure of what to do, but I knew that I wanted to do something that I had never done before, so I delegated the job of planning to Kristin. She is such a good planner, I knew that she would be up for it. We started early in the afternoon, the first stop was the Urban Scrawl. "Urban Scrawl is a 2-day arts festival organized by the Franklinton Arts District featuring the live creations of murals by talented artists from Central Ohio and beyond."

We did a beer tasting at a local brewery Land Grant. I have been more interested in beer these days, I guess my taste buds are getting old. I enjoyed 4 different beers that were brewed right here in town. Next stop was lunch at Strongwater, the food was amazing and the drinks were even better. Last stop for more alcoholic beverages was Rehab Tavern, we ran into an extremely intoxicated man who entertained us and bought drinks. Overall, I enjoyed my celebration. I was back home around 6:30 pm, took a nap and then danced the night away at a club. This is what I wore!
