Chris's/Kris's Closet (Kristin) August 11, 2012

Kris's Closet

Inspired by great bloggers like Folake of Style Pantry and Tamia of The Style Sample,a month ago we decided to open up our closets to the world as well. We are ChristinaKristin of Columbus,Ohio. We are two women close in age, with two different takes on style and completely different personalities. The best way to describe us if personalities were colors would be red and hot pink. I am the red personality because I am usually wild, passionate and bold with fashion and in life. My name is Kristin. Welcome to my closet!

Saturday I went to Scioto Downs Racino with my fella and Christina aka Chris. We met my sister and some of her friends there to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was a good time! My fella, Chris and I had dinner in the Clubhouse where Chris and I helped my fella pick horses to bet on. We watched and bet on the races while we ate. We also played the slot machines once my sister got there. I am not a gambler but since you got free money to play on your first visit there, I thought what the heck. I got $25 for free to play and won $25 back. At least I left $25 richer than I started. We stayed there for most of the night then ended up at a lounge that I am not a fan of. I guess I am getting old so I only lasted maybe an hour before I was ready to go home. I took these pictures at Scioto Downs. This is what I wore.

I wore a leopard print strapless jersey dress that a friend of the family gave me a few years ago. It fits no matter how much I gain or lose because of the stretch so it is one of my favorite dresses. The tag fell off a while ago so I am not sure who made it anymore. The pink cotton jacket is from the thrift store. I think an Ohio Thrift Store. It came with culottes that I will probably never wear. Click on links to view similar items.

For our regular followers, you have seen this piece a few times now. It has been my favorite summer accessory. It is my wicker body chain by CanDid Art Accessories. You can find it @

My leather leopard clutch I have featured once before on a closet blog. It is Ann Taylor but I got it for a great deal at Buffalo Exchange in Chicago. My faux wood grain heart ring I got from a vendor at the Macy's Festival in Cincinnati about two years ago.
