ChristinaKristin Closet Clean Out!!!

As published stylists, we find ourselves sometimes with too many items laying around. We decided it was time we find a way to get rid of some of the items from our style closet and our personal closets as well. We opened Poshmark accounts a while ago to try to rid ourselves of a lot of things. Recently we decided it would be a great idea to start a post highlighting the new pieces we post to Poshmark weekly. We will post this blog series once at the end of each month. We introduce to you our first 'ChristinaKristin Closet Clean Out!'

You have seen us wearing some of these pieces in our Chris's/Kris's Closet posts. We have worn the items with love and some items not at all but now they all need new homes. Here are a few items available right now.

Metallics

This spring metallic pieces are in! They were seen on the runways of Chanel, Lacoste, Loewe and Rag & Bone.  Well, we are getting rid of some metallic items from our closets this month. These items can be found on Poshmark @krisofohio. The live links are attached to the titles.

BLAZERS FOR LAYERING

I love a fun blazer with a graphic or fun pattern! These three blazers are all under $20 on Poshmark this month! We still have a few months of winter left and these blazers are great layering pieces that will get you through the cold and into Spring. To shop the items or get details, click on the titles above the photos.

Abstract Floral Blazer
This blazer is so versatile, you can dress it up or down. Wear it with jeans and a sequin top for a night out or wear it with a solid tee or button up and slacks for a cute work outfit. Both the blazer and the sequin top are available!

Navy & Orange Houndstooth Blazer
This blazer is a retro Gianni Sport blazer. It would be fun over a graphic tee or a solid button up shirt and jeans.

Rainbow Tweed Blazer
The blazer can be paired with so many colors. It literally features every color in the rainbow. This blazer is also very versatile. I looks good with slacks, denim or a pencil skirt. You can find a close up of the print on the site.

Kris's Closet

In this blog post you will get a glimpse of pieces in my closet, learn where I found them and where I wore them. My name is Kristin. Welcome to my closet!

Yesterday was the first day out with my nephew since his summer break began. We started our summer adventures with a tour of the American Whistle Corporation's Factory. There we walked through the entire process of creating a whistle and learned about the history of the company. My nephew snapped a few photos of me in front of the factory before the tour. This was what I wore.

I wanted to be comfortable so I put on my summer uniform, a tee and skirt. I also wore a pair of sneaker wedges because we had a lot of walking to do. As you can see, I am briefly wearing my hair straight.

Kris's Closet

In this blog post you will get a glimpse of pieces in my closet, learn where I found them and where I wore them. My name is Kristin. Welcome to my closet!

I love Memorial Day weekend! The holiday usually kicks off my travel season. Monday I went with my guy to Lake Erie to celebrate the holiday. We started at the Walleye Festival in Port Clinton, where we had one of the best fried fish sandwiches either of us has ever eaten. The festival was right next to the water so we spent a lot of time gazing at the water. We left the festival and headed to one of our favorite junk food spots, Great Lakes Popcorn Company where I got some Citrus flavored popcorn that tasted a lot like Fruit Loops. We had Margaritas in Margaritaville in Sandusky, Ohio. In the area we also had dinner at a restaurant that was just okay. The last stop anytime we are in the area is always Toft's  Ice Cream Parlor. The small cone is literally four scoops of ice cream.

Since I was going to the lake I wore my boat shoes. I wanted to be prepared in case it was cool by the lake so I layered a button up over a tee shirt dress. I love to pattern mix so I paired leopard accessories with my Aztec printed shirt. This was Monday's look.

Kris's Closet

In this blog post you will get a glimpse of pieces in my closet, learn where I found them
 and where I wore them.
My name is Kristin. Welcome to my closet!

I had the pleasure of attending the Grand Opening of The Beauty Boutique on High, this past Saturday. I was proud to be among so many black business women who are making their mark in Columbus, some of which even dominate their particular markets. This was not just a grand opening. With Women's Day barely in the rear-view, the event was a testament to the the strength and fearlessness women share whether we wear it on our sleeves or it's buried deep within. These women are doing something that can be scary and uncertain but they are DOING IT. They are just following their dreams but they don't realize they are also inspiring those around them. There is room for us all to be happy and successful. With that said, lets support and encourage each other whether it be through patronage, positive reinforcement or both. Happy Belated Women's Day!

For information on the services and products at The Beauty Boutique on High, check out their facebook page.

I took these photos at home before I headed to the event. This was Saturday's look.

Chris's/Kris's Closet (Kristin) Valentine's Day 2015

Kris's Closet

In this blog post you will get a glimpse of pieces in my closet, learn where I found them
 and where I wore them.
My name is Kristin. Welcome to my closet!

I spent my Valentine's Day with my sister. She was my official Valentine. We had tickets to the 'Between the Sheets Tour', with Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Tyga. We had dinner at Bareburger then headed to the concert at Nationwide Arena. It was freezing cold and the snow covered ground was slippery but we were determined to be cute in our high heeled boots. I also went bare-legged. Brrrr! I really wanted to wear this old Aztec sequin skirt that I had yet to wear. I paired the skirt with a Pam Grier tee by Accidental Genius Clothing; one of my favorite companies that I mentioned in the last 'Fun Fashion Friday' for Black History Month. I took these photos at my sister's before we headed downtown. Check out the look!

Tee: Pam Grier Tee by Accidental Genius Clothing

Boots: Guess (Old)
Earrings:Borrowed from my sister
Purse: Gift with purchase from a Michael Kors perfume (old)
